Postgraduate Diploma in Bilingual Education (BE)

Presently, the Ministry of Education sponsors 40 full-tuition-fee scholarships to follow this programme.

Applications are invited for the above programme of study to be conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of English (PGIE), the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL).

Who is this programme for?

  • Bilingual education teachers in government, semi-government, private and international schools
  • Teacher educators, in-service advisers, principals of schools & educational administrators
  • Non-bilingual education teachers interested in teaching in the bilingual system
  • Teachers in higher education institutions/universities, who teach content subjects in English
