The Goal Of This Programme Is To Improve The Quality Of Early Childhood Education And Primary Education In Sri Lanka.

The Specific Objective Of The Programme Is To Enable The Participants To Perform Effectively As Teachers/care Givers In Early Childhood Education And Primary Education

The Curriculum Is Organized And Structured Within The Two (02) Academic Years.

General

Application

  1. Applicant should be 18 years or over on the closing date of applications, and
  2. Successfully completed the Advanced Certificate in Pre-School Education Programme conducted by the Open University of Sri Lanka, or
  3. At least 03 passes at the GCE (A/L) Examination and 06 passes in G.C.E (O/L) Examination with Language and Mathematics, or
  4. Minimum of 54 credits in courses offered at any foundation Levels 1 and 2 (offered by OUSL), or
  5. Diploma in Teaching offered by the National Colleges of Education, or
  6. Teacher Training Certificate awarded by the Teacher Training Colleges.

Note : Applicants who wish to follow the Programme in English medium should possess at least a Credit pass (before 2001) or “B” pass (from 2001) for English Language in the GCE (Ordinary Level) Examination).


Finance

For Applicants who possess the OUSL Advanced Certificate in Pre-school Education Programme (ACPE), the Registration, Tuition and Facilities Fees in the year 2015 / 2016 will be as follows:

Registration Fee Rs. 400.00
Facilities Fee Rs. 1,500.00
Tuition Fee (Level 3 & 4) (With ACPE) Rs. 63,360.00
Total Rs. 65,260.00

For Applicants who do not possess the OUSL Advanced Certificate in Pre-school Education Programme (ACPE), the Registration, Tuition and Facilities Fees in the year 2015/2016 will be as follows:

Registration Fee Rs. 400.00
Facilities Fee Rs. 1,500.00
Tuition Fee (Level 3 & 4) (Without ACPE) Rs. 75,560.00
Total Rs.78,460.00
