BSc (Hons) INTERNATIONAL BANKING AND FINANCE Degree

Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) Sri Lanka. 

A degree in Banking and Finance offers you the opportunity to study the theory and practice of financial services and financial markets, and to analyse the broader role of the financial sector in the national and global economies. Banking and financial services is a highly competitive and rapidly changing sector in every modern economy and this course  repares you to tackle it head on. In recent years, forces such as globalisation, technological change, deregulation and international integration have fundamentally transformed the banking and financial services sector. Banks have sponded to growing competitive pressure by diversifying into new activities.

Programme Structure:

Whilst the entire Degree programme will take 33 months for Part-time and 27 months for Full-time, students are required to successfully complete 15 modules during the first 2 years. On completion of this segment, students will be awarded the Pearson Assured International Diploma in Business - Management and thereafter progress to the Final Year for the award of the Bachelor’s Degree (BSc – Honours) from the University of Northampton, UK 

Entry Requirements

- GCE (A/L) 3 passes - any Stream with English and Mathematics at O/L OR

- GCE (O/L) with a Degree Foundation Course OR

- Certificate in HRM / Business Management from HRMI / IPM / NIBM OR equivalent OR

- GCE (O/L) with English & Mathematics and 2 years work experience
