Bachelor of Laws Degree Programme

The Department of Legal Studies is offering the new LL.B Honours programme in the next academic year.  Please download the brochure for further details.

Conducted by: Dept. of Legal Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
Programme duration : Minimum 04 Years

A person aged 18 years or above who has acquired any of the following educational/professional qualifications is eligible to apply for this programme

• At least “C” grades of thirty-six credits (36) each at Level 1 and 2, from the Foundation Programmes offered by The Open University or a minimum to thirty (30) credits at SLQF Level 2 or above from any programme offered by the OUSL, or
• Four (04) passes at G.C.E. (A/L) Examination ( under the old curriculum which had four subjects) of which at least – three (03) passes should have been obtained at one sitting, or
• Three (03) passes obtained at a single sitting at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination in any stream under the new curriculum, or
• Be Attorney-at-Law who has been admitted Sri Lanka Bar, or
• An equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the OUSL Senate.
